February 2006

Preliminaries

Design and drawings
Detailed designs and reviews were completed for earthworks, hydraulics, biogas collection and lagoon layout. Sketches were transformed into drawings and issued to the client.

Biogas flare
Contract let for the flare manufacture and design and drawings undertaken

Purchasing
Materials ordered and suppliers established to complete the project

Factory Fabrication
Custom pits and specialised fitting fabrication was undertaken under workshop conditions


March 2006

Off and running, at full speed.

Earthworks
Contract let and works started on site with completion expected in 11days

Factory Fabrication
Factory Fabrication continues with materials and prefabricated items being transported to site

Biogas flare
Prefabrication is completed and factory testing is undertaken to prove performance.

Plumbing
HDPE pipe welding and pit installation commences mid month on the aerobic lagoon. Plumbing works commences on the anaerobic lagoon once the earthworks is complete in preparation for liner crew

Membrane
Membrane crew mobilised to site mid to late month to commence lining the anaerobic lagoon.

The anaerobic pond lining was off to a flying start with 80% of the pond lined before progress was hampered by a rare rain event (26mm over night).


April 2006

Just Cruising

Biogas flare
Flare erected and the flare shed constructed.

Plumbing
Distribution pipe work on the liner commenced in anticipation of the processing plant waste coming on line to fill the lagoon. Above ground pipe work and pump installation commenced.

Membrane
Anerobic pond liner completed, cover installation awaiting waste from the processing plant. Aerobic pond lining commenced.

Personnel
Matt leaves to travel overseas, Paul Dick takes over reigns as Project Manager.

After 2 full weeks off site due to extended Easter-ANZAC Break full contingent of staff return to site 26 April

Progress
Waste flows into the anaerobic pond so cover can be commenced.(April 27)


May 2006


Progress
Paul Dick takes over Project Management.

Large (Aerobic) Lagoon liner completed.

Pipe works in full swing.

Flare works finished

Demobilize off site 18/5/06 until Anaerobic pond fills.
 

June - July 2006

Membrane
Mobilisation back to site late June to commence covering of Anaerobic Pond

Late July all remaining membranes and machinery are demobilized off site. 

 

August 2006

Progress

Delays due to slow filling of lagoons from factories.

Commissioning

Final commissioning on flares completed by GASCO

Pumps and electricals commissioned by Electricians.

All membrane and pipe-work finished

De-mobised off site.
